HTC: a personalization site smartphone was well planned ... - Generation NT

Google and Motorola have attracted the press and users revealing their Moto X, a mid-range smartphone betting on the side Made in USA but also about customizing left to the buyer.

Yet Motorola is not the first company to have considered this concept smartphone tailored, internal sources from HTC to entrust the site The Verge an online site was designed to allow users to customize their 8XT at its output.

Sprint and HTC have abandoned the idea because of too much complexity and implementation costs deemed too important at the time. HTC would have preferred to take the appearance of the two tones for its 8S 8XT.

Since HTC has already gone through the prototype phase, if success is to go at customizing Moto X, the manufacturer might reverse its decision and also offer customization of its upcoming devices in the near future .
