an unpleasant experience manufacturer (2 years) warranty from Expansys and HTC. I hope this is not a common practice between the two companies, in all cases you must know what to expect.

So, I have a HTC Titan purchased in May 2012 on Pixmania and delivered by Expansys. This is a phone that I appreciate for its large screen.
Past few weeks the phone shows signs of weakness, the screen darkens and then slowly revives.
Recently the phone becomes downright unusable by acting as a wireless TV set incorrectly: display that flickers, fragmented image that migrates vertically screen turns off and back on, then off really …

1st contact with HTC (08 05 54 24 82): The telephone advisor told me it may be an incompatibility with an application. He asks to uninstall applications, one after another, until you identify which is criminalized. Reset the device as a last resort

Me:. Immediately I reset the unit with the volume buttons. The problem is not solved

2nd contact with HTC:. The telephone advisor tells me that this is a known fault and asked me to return the unit via the walking

Me: no link back to the Pixmania website or on that of Expansys. So I write to Expansys (info@expansys.com) which establishes the invoice when purchasing: no response

2nd contact Expansys (04 11 92 01 40): Your phone has more one year, you have to contact HTC

HTC 3rd contact:. Expansys sold you a phone with a Dutch IMEI (country  D  D ). This is an unacceptable practice according to them and making the impossible return from France. Ask Expansys to contact us

3rd contact Epansys:. Refusal to contact HTC accused usually have this unacceptable behavior. The téléconseillère offers me to contact a repair at my expense:

That’s where I am. Meanwhile I had to buy a HTC8X on Rue du Commerce and delivered by Expansys, if I knew …
In my various discussions, I also learned that the commercial ties between HTC and Expansys are very strong because it is Expansys which manages Europe HTC stocks, however they do not trust to the service.

It only remains for me the DGCCRF.
