HTC and Beats have been partners for a few years now. The Taiwanese manufacturer with 51% of the audio brand. But things got tough for HTC since, so much so that the company withdrew 25% of Beats. Today, the brand Dr Dre acquired the rest of its shares.
Indeed, Beats bought HTC shares for an amount of 265 million euros . A redemption that ran for a few months, having entrusted Beats will resume its independence vis-à-vis the manufacturer. Is this the end of the partnership so far? Not so sure.
Beats announced that he would keep a close relationship with the manufacturer of smartphones. So surely we will continue to see the Beats logo enthroned on HTC in the future. However, this independence will allow Beats to develop their own projects. The company would indeed expand its range and offer new products. It could even launch its own music streaming service, according to the latest rumors.
