iPhone far behind …
While all operators to rehash his heart’s content they have the best speed / 4G coverage, it is important to remember that the device used also affects quality. DegroupTest , with the 138,687 relevant results for the third quarter by users of the application, has classified the devices according to their average speed.
Far ahead, HTC One XL , which is nevertheless one of the first 4G compatible smartphones, won with a downlink speed of 37.4 Mbps. The second turn is owned by the Nokia Lumia 920 with a score of 30.975 Mbps. A few cubits then arrive Samsung GALAXY S3 4G (28,53), the Sony Xperia Z (28,29), HTC One SV (27.75), the Nokia Lumia 925 (27.68) and seventh and eighth positions, iPhone 5s (27.56) and GALAXY S4 (27,48), and finally HTC One (26,01) and the GALAXY Note II 4G (24,24) beginning to leave behind. Note however the presence of the iPhone 5 in this ranking, in fourteenth place, which picks up an average of nearly 22 Mbps, although consistent 4G only through the 1800 MHz network reallocated from Bouygues Telecom .
In
flow amount however is another story, since the iPhone 5 won first place with an average speed of 10.775 Mbps, followed closely by HTC One (10,678) GALAXY S4 (10,626) and iPhone 5s (10.033). All others are below the limit of 10 Mbps.
Note that these results reflect an average of four French physical networks operators. Also according DegroupTest , the best rates are obtained by 2G/3G Bouygues Telecom (5.78 Mbps) before Orange (5, 62 Mbps) and SFR (5.10 Mbps), Free Mobile is last in this ranking (4.26 Mbps). 4G however, is another story since Orange and SFR are elbow to elbow around 32 Mbps, while the third operator only reach an average 20.54 Mbps.
Although it is there that an average, we are far from the theoretical results by operators ranging from 42 Mbps to 150 Mbps + 3G to 4G.
