Finland’s Nokia intends to assert its intellectual property and has just added a complaint originally filed in April 2012 against HTC and other manufacturers such as BlackBerry and ViewSonic. Last year, the complainant pointed violations of intellectual property on more than forty types of FRAND patents.

Nokia has previously reached an agreement with BlackBerry and ViewSonic in December 2012 and March 2013. However, things are different for HTC. The blog AllThingsD reports that Nokia filed a new application with the CTA and the Court of Southern California adding nine patents.

These technologies claimed relate to the use of antennas, management battery, kiosk applications, multitasking, GPS, display conversations messaging, dynamic menus, data encryption or recovery of attachments received by email.

The question is whether the two parties find an agreement. Recall that after several years of legal strife, Apple and HTC have finally found common ground in the month of December.
