S-ON the HTC One: finally, not so annoying? - Frandroid

class=”post-content

Good news! S-ON the HTC One seems less restrictive than the previous HTC phones. For several years, HTC made S-ON phones is a security / lock to prevent further modification of certain partitions class=”c1″>. Examples:

  • On HTC Desire S-ON, it was impossible to change the system partition once the camera started (install / uninstall system applications, etc..).
  • On HTC One X, we should flash the kernel separately in fastboot when changing ROM.
  • S-ON also made it difficult to official update radio partition on many devices.
class=”c1″> short, it was very annoying, now it is much less
