Wars smartwatchs begin in 2014.
Apparently, 2014 will be the year of wearable computing with a particular increase in smartwatchs concept yet existing for some time. After Sony and Samsung have recently presented their new generation and Google and Apple that would work on their own versions, it is the turn of HTC to enter the race. Peter Chou, CEO of the Taiwanese company has confirmed work on a smart watch with Microsoft in a recent interview with the Financial Times .
Today Bloomberg goes further by stating that HTC work on a show on Android capable of taking pictures, as is the case of GALAXY Gear Samsung . However, this point is still in the rumor as no confirmation is given. Obviously HTC did not want to communicate about it.
Anyway, Peter Chou certainly wants to go further than the products already available, calling them mere “gadgets.” For him, a smart watch “must meet a need.”
For the moment, no release date has been announced, but we bet on 2014.
