[Rumor] And if HTC was acquired by Lenovo? - Monwindowsphone.com (Blog)

lenovo

If this seems rather unlikely, the rumors about the purchase of HTC … by the Chinese Lenovo. We hear the leaders of each brand have already started negotiations in the month of August. Assume, further, that the deal will be effective as from the second half of 2014.

HTC is not going well: we know. Most recently, we announced the level of market share particularly low Taiwanese manufacturer (2.8% for the second quarter of 2013) and a fall in its market value has been contracted by 90% since 2011.

This

a rumor (which will be followed by many others) for the purchase by the Chinese manufacturer Lenovo, very active on Windows 8 with its range Yoga, among others. Lenovo would be in talks with HTC for a possible acquisition , as was the case with IBM during the acquisition of the ThinkPad series.

This is not the first time that Lenovo approaches the mobile market since many rumors already evoked the manufacturer could look at the Windows Phone event. With the rise of Lenovo (in the middle of the laptops, it has surpassed HP in particular), it would not be so silly and impractical. P ourrions we see ranges of mobile stamped “Lenovo-HTC” or see, finally, Windows Phone stamped similarly?

Besides the fact that another rumor in early October, evoked the crazy idea to dual-boot devices by HTC. With a rumor, all can imagine but admit that it could be really nice. What do you think?
