Business: The Chinese giant Lenovo reportedly began talks this summer for a possible takeover of HTC. Taiwanese brand has failed to rectify the situation and for the first time recorded a loss during its last fiscal quarter.
Not surprisingly, the difficulties faced by HTC for several months eventually lead to rumors about a possible takeover. Following the publication of the latest quarterly results which saw the company record the first loss in its history (2.97 billion Taiwan, € 74.3 million), a merger with a Chinese group was discussed.
